FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for preparing nutrient medium in sanitary-hygienic control of infection of soils, plants and foodstuffs with listeria (Listeria monocytogenes). Method involves preparing nutrient base using maize silage, phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, and agar taken in the amount 10-15 g. Maize silage is infused in phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, for 10-12 h at room temperature in the following ratio of components, g/l: maize silage, 50-150; phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, the balance. The prepared infusion is filtered twice for 20-30 min, sterilized by flowing steam, cooled and added to agar up to 1 l.
