FIELD: diffusion welding processes and equipment, namely manufacture of composition materials, mainly on base of titanium alloys. ^ SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of preparing compact members of titanium alloys having metallic layers; shaping pressed blanks of titanium powders with pellet size 0.08 - 1 mm; forming porous members with porosity degree providing possibility for gas saturation by volume; assembling members to pack; placing pack into aggregate for diffusion welding; performing procedure of joining members and simultaneously sintering porous pressed blanks while keeping parameters of porosity; after termination of diffusion welding procedure, realizing heat treatment in active gas atmosphere. At heat treatment pore ducts of porous sintered members are filled with active gas which chemically reacts with titanium for converting porous layer to titanium nitride. ^ EFFECT: simplified process for making composition materials, enhanced strength of their joints. ^ 1 ex |
