FIELD: transport engineering: trackless vehicles. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed heavy weight trailer-train consists of truck-tractor and semitrailer interconnected by fifth-wheel coupling gear. Frame of semitrailer has two steps interacting with turntable arrangement of truck-tractor and turntable arrangement located on roll-under truck of semitrailer controlled by transmission shaft secured on semitrailer. ^ EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of trailer-train owing to improved maneuverability, enlarged operating capabilities, reduced cost of manufacture and operating expenses. ^ 4 dwg |
