PURPOSE: A system and a method for navigating glanceable information are provided to enable a user to select/view contents related to a channel on a display part by passive interaction, when a device is in a glance-view operation mode. CONSTITUTION: An electronic device includes a processor(260), a memory(262), the display part(228), and a user interface(232). The user interface is push buttons, a scroll wheel, a dial pad, or other user interface tool. At least more than one application program(266) such as a dialer program, an e-mail program, a scheduling/calendaring program, a PIM(Personal Information Management) program, and an Internet browser is operated on an OS(264) by being loaded on the memory. The electronic device includes a wireless interface layer(272) performing a function to transmit/receive wireless communication.
