PURPOSE: A cleaning apparatus for a print head of an ink jet printer is provided to perform cleaning work with respect to a wiper blade while preventing dusts or impurities from sticking to the wiper blade. CONSTITUTION: A cleaning apparatus for a print head of an ink jet printer includes a wiper blade(104), a rotating unit for attaching/detaching the wiper blade(104) to/from a movement route of an ink cartridge, and a cleaning unit for cleaning the wiper blade(104) while protecting the wiper blade(104). The wiper blade(104) directly makes contact with a print head in order to clean the print head. The wiper blade(104) is rotatably fixed to the movement route of the ink cartridge by means of a support plate(103). The wiper blade(104) is fabricated by using rubber, such as silicon rubber.
