APPARATUS FOR SENSING PAPER SIZE IN PRINTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for sensing paper sizes in a printer is provided to improve convenience of use and prevent printing errors by notifying a user of the sizes of papers accommodated in a paper feeding cassette. CONSTITUTION: A paper size sensing apparatus includes a paper feeding cassette(20), a paper guide(30) and a sensing unit(40). The paper feeding cassette(20) is formed at a bottom surface thereof with first and second mounting holes in order to allow the paper guide(30) to be variably fixed to the paper feeding cassette(20) according to the size of the paper accommodated in the paper feeding cassette(20). The paper guide(30) is provided at a lower portion thereof with protrusions(31), which are inserted into the first and second mounting holes. The sensing unit(40) includes a detecting lever(41), a detecting sensor(42) and a control unit(43).
