PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a water receiving tank and a water supply pump unit and actualize good operation without applying a pressure vessel to a hot water storage tank while preventing the backflow of hot water from the hot water storage tank to a water supply pipe. SOLUTION: On a water supply side, the water receiving tank 1 and the water supply pump unit 5 are provided for receiving supply water W and for feeding the supply water W from the water receiving tank 1 via the water supply pipe 7 to mixed water faucets 18, 19, respectively. On a hot water supply side, the open type hot water storage tank 24, a heater 25, a hot water supply pump unit 27 and a hot water return pipe 14 are provided for receiving makeup water W' fed, not via the water receiving tank 1, for heating the makeup water W' in the hot water storage tank 24 and returned hot water, for feeding supply hot water HW from the hot water storage tank 24 through a hot water supply pipe 13 to the mixed water faucets 18, 19 and for returning the supply hot water HW not used in the mixed water faucets 18, 19 to the hot water storage tank 24, respectively.
