PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taste information collection system by which even a user who first subscribes in a network surely specifies individual taste information. SOLUTION: A receiver 110 is connected with a transmitter 100 via a network. The receiver 110 is provided with an information receiving part 112 which receives hierarchized taste specification information 102a in which terms specifying tastes of a user of the receiver 110 are embedded and a taste specification part 117 which specifies the taste of the user of the receiver 110 based on the received taste specification information 102a.
