PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous resin composition for obtaining an aqueous coating materials that can form a coating film having excellent properties for global environment protection and which is improved in at least one selected from the group consisting of efflorescence resistance, water resistance, moisture-proofness, adhesion to a material, and blister resistance, and to provide an inorganic molded member coated with an aqueous coating material comprising the aqueous resin composition. SOLUTION: The aqueous resin composition for the coating materials comprises 99.5-50 pts.wt., on a dry weight basis, of at least one type of resin emulsion (A) selected from the group consisting of a (meth)acrylate resin emulsion and a styrene-modified (meth)acrylate resin emulsion, and 0.5-50 pts.wt., on a dry weight basis, of a wax-type emulsion (B).
