<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of restraining temperature dispersion of a fuel cell by using a ventilating gas to positively adjust the temperature. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system is provided with the fuel cell 1 for generating power by using a fuel; a case 2 for housing the fuel cell 1; a ventilating gas supply means for supplying the ventilating gas to the case 2; and a temperature sensor 6 for sensing temperatures at at least two points in the case 2. In this case, ventilating air and a ventilating fan 3 are used as the ventilating gas and as the ventilating gas supply means, respectively.
