<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer exhibiting an excellent performance as a proton-conductive film of a fuel cell, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This block copolymer has at least one of segment into which acid radicals are introduced and at least one of another segment into which the acid radicals are not substantially introduced, wherein the segment into which the acid radicals are introduced is composed of an acid radical substitution product comprising a repeating unit expressed by general formula (1): -(Ar<SP>1</SP>-X<SP>1</SP>-Ar<SP>2</SP>-X<SP>2</SP>)- [X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each independently -O- or -S-, and Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>2</SP>are each independently an aromatic bivalent radical expressed by formula (2), (3) or (4), provided that Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>2</SP>are not bivalent radicals expressed by formula (2) at the same time when X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are -O- at the same time]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
