<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the lid fitting structure of a fuel tank having a resin-made tank, which does not affect the layer composition of a barrier layer on the resin-made tank, and provides a strong force to fastening the tank and the lid together, thus offers stable sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel tank T has the lid 1 for closing an opening 7, which is formed on the resin-made tank 2 at least partly made of a barrier material, and has a flange 7a. The lid fitting structure of the fuel tank T comprises a ring member 8 buried and fixed by being enclosed with the under surface of the flange 7a, with a neck outer wall surface 7c, and with a tank outer wall surface 2a, the lid 1 coming in contact with the flange 7a to close the opening 7, a seal 14 arranged between the flange 7a and the lid 1 to prevent leakage, and a ring retainer 9 fixed to the ring member 8, while covering the lid 1 from the outside and fixes to the ring member 8, which has holes 8a into which bolts 11 are inserted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
