PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program viewing reservation system which can appropriately and efficiently view, listen and record a broadcasting program reserved for viewing. SOLUTION: A reservation input receiving part 12 receives input of viewing and listening program reservation information, and a viewing notifying part 14 notifies to a user that broadcasting start of the program is drawing near. A viewing discriminating part 15 discriminates whether the program can be viewed based on response of the user; if the user does not view the program, a recording indication originating part 16 transmits recording indication. Therefore, even if the user is located near the receiving terminal, he cannot view due to some another businesses, etc., the broadcasting program reserved can be recorded by responding information which indicates that the user cannot view. By this means, it is possible to save unnecessary data capacity, by recording only those broadcasting programs which the user cannot view. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
