PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television signal receiver and a television signal transmission reception system capable of controlling access to a DNS server by receiving area/domain information including a URL, an IP address and an area code and storing the area/domain information to a DNS cache. SOLUTION: The television signal receiver is provided with: a reception demodulation means for receiving a television broadcast signal including the area/domain information including at least a URL, an IP address and an area code and demodulating the television broadcast signal to output a video signal; an extraction means for extracting the area/domain information from the video signal outputted from the reception demodulation means; a control means for storing in advance an area code of its own receiver and storing the area/domain information including the area code of its own receiver; and a network access means for accessing a selected URL on the basis of the access request from the control means or an access request from a user.
