LENS SPACE VARYING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens space varying mechanism capable of surely changing a space between two lens groups by the normal and reverse rotation of a differential ring. SOLUTION: The lens space varying mechanism has a 1st lens frame supporting the 1st lens group; a 2nd lens frame supporting a 2nd lens group and capable of relatively rotating at a fixed angle to the 1st lens frame; and a relative moving mechanism moving both of the 1st and the 2nd lens frames to different relative positions in an optical axis direction at both turning ends of the relative rotation of the 2nd lens frame to the 1st lens frame. Furthermore, the mechanism has a differential linking ring rotating together with the 2nd lens frame; a differential ring to give relative rotation at a larger angle than the angle of the relative rotation of the 2nd lens frame to the 1st lens frame to the differential linking ring; and a spring member intervening between the differential ring and the differential linking ring and absorbing a difference between the rotational angle of the differential ring and that of the differential linking ring.
