PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a waveform display unit which can display a waveform at a high speed even when the data transfer to a display processing section is provided with versatility. SOLUTION: The present invention makes improvements to a waveform display unit which displays a waveform to be measured by a measurement section and a background other than the waveform on a display section as image signals. The apparatus is characterized by being provided with a first display processing section and a second display processing section. The first display processing section creates auxiliary display data which display the background and outputs the auxiliary display data with converting to image signals, and the second display processing section creates waveform display data which display the waveform to be measured, converts the waveform display data to image signals, combines the image signal of the auxiliary display data from the first display processing section and the image signal of the waveform display data, and outputs the combines image data to the display section.
