PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a plate glass structure without taking time in the nonworking state of residual added stress even if a support frame is slightly distorted. SOLUTION: This plate glass structure supporting structure supports a plate glass structure P to the support frame 1 by bolt-connecting a first fixture K1 for integrally connecting a plurality of plate glass 2 in the juxtaposed state to constitute the plate glass structure P, to a second fixture K2 mounted to the support frame 1 for supporting the plate glass structure P. In this case, a lateral position adjusting mechanism X for allowing relative lateral movement in the in-plane direction of both plate glass 2 in the state of both fixtures before connected and fixed by a bolt is provided between the first fixture K1 and the second fixture K2.
