PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus each for taking out eggs making it possible to automatically and speedily take out eggs from a case. SOLUTION: The apparatus for taking out eggs 10 works as follows: a case 12 where eggs 14 and an egg protection sheet 18 are conveyed using a slat conveyer so as to put the eggs 14 and the egg protection sheet 18 into water, the egg protection sheet 18 floats and is dipped up by a sheet dipping-up machine 48, a sheet conveyer 56 collects the sheet, the eggs 14 sink in water, a first conveyer 42 conveys the eggs, a levelling machine 74 levels the eggs, the eggs are transferred to a second conveyer 60 and conveyed to be charged into an egg-breaking machine 16 in a line-up state.
