The invention concerns a method for temporal marking of a video signal to be broadcast, characterized in that it comprises a step which consists in identifying a graphic element in the video stream and in generating a marking signal upon detection of said graphic element, said marking signal being associated with at least part of the video sequence containing said graphic element.
