Spraying process for cleaning surfaces comprises feeding a carrier gas under pressure through a spray line (10) to a spray nozzle (14), and supplying via a feed line (32) liquid CO2 which is then converted under expansion into dry ice and fed into the spray line. The CO2 is removed from the feed line via an expansion chamber (34) with increasing cross-section and fed into the spray line.
