<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a download system and download device for transferring content data to a terminal, which can minimize the waiting time of the user of the download device even during congestion. <P>SOLUTION: This download system comprises a database storing reservation information for content data the download of which is reserved by the user of a terminal, the database being exchangeable of data with a content server.
