<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanofiber graphitizing apparatus providing a highly crystallized, non-compressed carbon nanofiber which has a low bulk density and is excellent in dispersibility in a matrix. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a conveying means and a graphitizing means. The conveying means conveys the carbon nanofiber manufactured through a vapor-phase growth method and uses a screw conveyor comprising a vertically installed cylindrical graphite casing and a screw loaded inside the cylindrical casing. The graphitizing means graphitizes the carbon nanofiber through heat-treatment while the carbon nanofiber is being conveyed by the conveying means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
