PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect copyright without losing user-friendliness.

SOLUTION: The AV communication system disclosed herein includes: an AV transmitter 1 for wirelessly transmitting an AV stream; and an AV receiver 3 for receiving the AV stream from the AV transmitter 1 via a wireless network 2, the AV transmitter 1 has a wireless LAN-LSI and an MPEG processing section, and the AV receiver 3 has a wireless LAN-LSI for performing reception processing and decoding processing or the like for the AV stream and an MPEG stream storage section for performing storage processing of an MPEG stream. Since whether or not copying of the AV stream is permitted is decided after the AV receiver 3 detects copy control information included in the received AV stream, copyright can be protected in response to copy control information of the respective AV streams.
