<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Peltier type cooling device usable as a heater and preventive of a failure due to dew formation without deterioration of a Peltier element and complication of a structure. <P>SOLUTION: The Peltier element 1 is connected to a power supply device switchable between a direct current and an alternating current. When dew formation is detected on the heat absorption side of the Peltier element 1, the power supply device is switched from the direct current to the alternating current to generate Joule heat for evaporating the dew formation. When the Peltier element 1 is used as a heater, a fan on the heat radiation side of the Peltier element 1 is stopped and the power supply device for the Peltier element is switched from the direct current into the alternating current to generate the Joule heat. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
