<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost antifalsification paper enabling the discrimination of a genuine paper and a false paper without using a specific apparatus such as an ultraviolet irradiation apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The antifalsification paper has a multilayer structure composed of an information recording surface layer and an antifalsification layer positioned under the information recording layer. The basis weight of the information recording surface layer is 10-45g/m<SP>2</SP>and the antifalsification layer contains small pieces for false discrimination use included in the layer at the stage to form the antifalsification layer. The information-recording surface layer is bonded to the antifalsification layer positioned under the recording layer with an adhesive or by a combination paper machine.
