<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an antifalsification paper without using a false-discriminating functional substance, coloring pigment, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The antifalsification paper has a multilayer structure composed of an information recording surface layer and an antifalsification layer positioned under the information recording layer. The basis weight of the information recording surface layer is 10-45g/m<SP>2</SP>and at least one layer of the antifalsification layers has thin paper thickness parts to enable visual recognition of the thin parts of the antifalsification layer from the side of the information recording layer and/or the side reverse to the information recording layer.
