PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a picture display device where luminous flux made to scan is made incident on an observer's retina 2 after it is influenced by an optical means 26, and by which an observer recognizes an accurate picture in spite of the intervention of the optical means. SOLUTION: The picture display device is equipped with luminous flux output means 12, 14 and 16 outputting the luminous flux, a scanning means 24 for scanning the outputted luminous flux, the optical means 26 to which the luminous flux made to scan is radiated and which changes the advancing direction of the radiated luminous flux to a direction toward the observer's pupil, and a wave front curvature changing part 36 as a curvature correction means for correcting the wave front curvature of the luminous flux radiated to the optical means.
