<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange collimator lens-attached optical fibers with highly accurate intervals in the horizontal and vertical directions, and to facilitate exchange of the collimator lens-attached optical fibers due to failures or changes in specifications. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of silicon substrates 4 supporting a plurality of collimator lens-attached optical fibers 9 are stacked leaving a space between the adjacent silicon substrates 4 so that these collimator lens-attached optical fibers 9 are two-dimensionally arrayed. The silicon substrates 4 are supported at least at two parts on the substrate surface 4a by the same substrate array members 18. Frames 1 support the surface 4a of the silicon substrates 4 on which the collimator lens-attached optical fibers 9 are mounted, or a side face adjacent to the surface 4a.
