<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily combine an ion dissolution unit for dissolving metal ions into water for antibacterial treatment of laundry to a washing machine of a conventional structure for use. <P>SOLUTION: An ion dissolution unit 100 has electrodes 113, 114 within a case 110. The case 110 is equipped with an inflow 111 to connect a water feed hose 180 and an outflow 112 which is removably connected to a water feed valve 50 of a washing machine 1. When making water flow into the case 110, voltage is applied to the electrodes 113, 114 from a power unit 101, so that metal ions are dissolved into water. The metal ion-containing water is received in a washing tub 30 and laundry is rinsed in such water to apply antibacterial treatment to the laundry. At least a part of the case 110 is a see-through part wherein the electrodes 113, 114 are visible, and a user directly confirms the wearing situations of the electrodes 113, 114 with his/her own eyes to judge a timing to replace the ion dissolution unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
