<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device having an imaging element which can improve the efficiency of incident light without complicating and shrinking the structure. <P>SOLUTION: Out of light beams 110 condensed by a micro lens 2, those having a prescribed wavelength are selectively passed through a dichroic film 4g and those having the other wavelengths are reflected by the dichroic film 4g. The light beams reflected by the dichroic film 4g are reflected by an interface between a layer 5 having a first refractive index and a layer 6 having a second refractive index, to be introduced into dichroic films 4r composed of contiguous pixels.
