PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method of displaying enlarged images for a plurality of objects that are detected within a monitoring area based on a camera image in which the whole motoring area is photographed, and to provide a display device. SOLUTION: Objects are detected based on a high resolution and wide angle video photographed by a camera. A cut out portion is determined based on a reference point and a display size after the reference point is acquired that comprises X coordinate of a center of a circumscribed rectangle and Y coordinate of the top end of the circumscribed rectangle of the object. A partial image of the cut out portion is displayed on a monitor. When displaying images of the plurality of objects on the monitor in parallel, bilateral relations of each object are matched, and head positions of the objects are aligned. Furthermore, images of each object are displayed on a divided screen provided on the monitor, and neighboring objects are collectively displayed on a combined screen provided on the monitor.
