METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING SIGNAL EXPRESSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new signal expression not affected by a discrete rate such as a sampling rate. SOLUTION: A signal expression generating apparatus receives an input signal being a discrete signal or a consecutive signal at an input terminal thereof. A selection section 10 sequentially select signal parts of a finite length from the input signal received at the input terminal. The parts of the finite length signals is composed of a discrete value sequence including a plurality of prescribed discrete values. A function estimate section 12 of a next stage is provided with a feature extract section 122 for converting the selected signal parts of the finite length into a signal expression on the basis of a frequency band limiting function, and generates the signal expression sequence denoting the discrete signal.
