PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation efficiency and contribute the energy saving in the refrigeration device equipped with a refrigerant circuit using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. SOLUTION: The refrigeration device 1 is equipped with a secondary refrigerant circuit 6 using carbon dioxide as the refrigerant. A solenoid valve 16 and a solenoid valve 19 for controlling a refrigerant circulation are mounted on an inlet port side and an outlet port side of an evaporator 18 composing the refrigerant circuit respectively. When a compressor 12 composing the refrigerant circuit stops, the refrigerant inflow to the evaporator 18 and the refrigerant outflow from the evaporator 18, are blocked with the solenoid valve 16 and the solenoid valve 19.
