METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GENERATING HIGH-ENERGY PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating high-energy particles that significantly increases the number of times of irradiation which can be repeated consecutively and facilitates the accurate positioning of a target. SOLUTION: A device is equipped with the target 1 shaped like a tape which can be rewound, a laser beam irradiation means 4 which repeatedly irradiates the target 1 with a laser beam 2 with the energy that enables the ionization of the target 1 through a momentary irradiation to generate the high-energy particles 3, a rewinding means 5 which rewinds the target 1 every time the laser beam irradiation means 4 irradiates the target 1 with the laser beam 2 to shift a part irradiated with the laser beam 2, a slack removal means 6 which removes the slack around the part of the target 1 irradiated with the laser beam 2 and a positioning means 7 which positions the periphery of the part of the target 1 irradiated with the laser beam 2.
