PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable guide for a transmission having excellent fittability, allowing positioning and fixing of a guide body and a reinforcement plate to each other, and having excellent silentness. SOLUTION: This movable guide for the transmission comprises a shoe portion 102 brought into slidable contact with the surface of a running chain, the synthetic resin guide body 101 formed of a vertical plate-like portion 103 installed on the rear surface of the shoe portion in the longitudinal direction and forming a slit 107 opening to the end part thereof in the longitudinal direction, and the reinforcement plate 120 fitted to the slit. A synthetic resin guide body and the swing base end side of the reinforcement plate are commonly tightened to each other to install the movable guide on an engine or the skeleton of a drive device. A locking recessed part or locking hole is formed at least one position of the reinforcement plate, and a swelling and advancing part fitted to the locking recessed part or the locking hole is formed in the synthetic resin guide body by the plastic deformation by ultrasonic heating.
