PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle driving assist device enabling a driver to positively recognize an operating state of a system. SOLUTION: This vehicle driving assist device comprises obstacle detecting means 10, 20 for detecting an obstacle around an own vehicle; a risk potential calculating means 50 for calculating a risk potential to the obstacle of the own vehicle based on a signal from the obstacle detecting means 10, 20; an operational reaction determination means 50 for determining an operational reaction generated on a vehicle operating apparatus 62 based on the signal from the risk potential calculating means 50; an operational reaction control means 60 for controlling the operational reaction generated on the vehicle operating apparatus 62 based on the signal from the operational reaction determination means 50; an operating determination means 50 for determining whether or not the operational reaction should be controlled by the operational reaction control means 60; an operating state reporting means 50 for reporting the operating state of the operational reaction control to the driver by adding additional reaction to the operational reaction calculated by the operational reaction determination means 50 if it is determined that the operational reaction should be by the signal from the operating determination means 50.
