PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base compound exhibiting good performances not only in reversion of plasticization but also in adhesive properties and causing no troubles on rolling operations. SOLUTION: The silicone rubber composition comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane bearing at least two alkenyl groups in one molecule, (B) an organopolysiloxane or an organosilane, (C) a precipitated silica having a water content of at most 3 wt% and a specific surface area of at least 50 m<SP>2</SP>/g, and (D) a basic substance.
