PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure in complete closure of an exhaust valve caused by biting of fine particles into the exhaust valve, in a continuous suction type pneumatic transportation device with a damper type exhaust valve and a continuous suction type pneumatic transportation method. SOLUTION: The pneumatic transportation device 10 comprises a separation module 16, and three-tiered exhaust valve modules 18, 20, 22 sequentially connected to the separation module 16. The uppermost-stage first exhaust valve module 18 functions to physically prevent the fine particles from falling down from the second exhaust valve module 20 to the second exhaust valve module 20, when the middle-stage second exhaust valve module 20 is completely closed. Therefore, biting of the fine particle by the exhaust valve of the second exhaust valve module 20 is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
