PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To damage no plate material when the plate material such as a glass substrate is conveyed by a rolling element. SOLUTION: The plate material conveying device is provided with a plurality of rows of rolling elements aligned on a flat surface in parallel and is provided with a collision prevention means (9) for traveling the plate material (6) on the rolling elements (3a-3f, 10a-10f, 13a-13f) such that a flexured tip end (6a) of the plate material (6) does not collide to the surfaces of the rolling elements (3a-3f, 10a-10f, 13a-13f).
