PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet for a strip material and a strip material conveying method using the pallet, which accelerate labor savings in work and the shortening of conveyance time. SOLUTION: The pallet 1 for the strip material is equipped with a lower steel pallet 2 which is constituted so as to be capable of being loaded with the strip material, and an upper steel pallet 3 which can be placed on the lower pallet 2 and is constituted so as to be capable of being loaded with the strip material; and the lower and upper pallets 2 and 3 have engaging parts 9 and 17 which can be engaged with a hanging upper part of a straddle carrier. The strip material conveying method using the pallet 1 comprises a strip material loading process for loading the pallet 1 with the strip material, a pallet moving process for moving the pallet 1 to a storage yard by the straddle carrier, a cooling process for cooling the strip material, with which the pallet 1 is loaded, by using a forced water cooler, and a pallet conveying process for conveying the pallet 1, loaded with the strip material, by using a truck.
