The suspension for especially a steerable front wheel of a motor vehicle has transverse links guiding wheel carriers, an elastically mounted and longitudinally extending tension strut, and a pendulum support with a stabilizer connected to one end. The pendulum support by the other end is supported on the tension strut in the region between its bearing on the body side and its bearing on the wheel carrier side. The pendulum support stands vertically on the tension strut.
