<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolutionary actuator which is operated from low speed to high speed, and gets high torque without having an output conversion means such as a drive shaft, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A revolutionary actuator performs drive by a moving member 5 with its rotation restricted by a rotation restricting mechanism 4, by performing orbital motion in the specified radius of revolution. A plurality of permanent magnets 5a are arranged circularly on the orbital plane of revolution of the moving member 5 so as to form a magnetic circuit, and a disc-like holding member 2 is provided in a position opposed apart to the moving member 5. A plurality of stators 3 with winding 3b wound on their iron cores 3a are arranged on the concentric circles of two inside and outside rows opposed to the permanent magnet of the holding member 2 so as to form a magnetic circuit, and the holding member 2 is held at the inner face of the bracket to constitute a gap-type motor. This makes the moving member 5 perform eccentric orbital motion around a specified eccentric shaft by the magnetic flux generated by the rotating magnetic field made at the orbital plane of revolution, by switching the current application to each iron core 3a of the stators 3 in order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
