PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact for an outdoor electric apparatus such as a breaker coated with a chemical reducing and removing a silver chloride coating film in high efficiency operation without requiring maintenance and inspection. SOLUTION: In the contact for the outdoor electric apparatus, where the surfaces of fixed contacts 4, 5 and movable contacts 14, 15 are coated with silver plating 6, 7, 16, 17 or with silver-graphite where silver is mixed with another component, at least the surfaces of the fixed contacts 4, 5 are coated with the chemicals 8 and 9 removing the silver chloride coating comprising sodium ascorbate.
