PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the timing of switching the cutoff frequency of a high pass filter to match DC levels with each other for a reproducing signal in which the DC levels of an address part and a data part are greatly different from each other. SOLUTION: Detecting signals 3 and 4 are generated from a reproducing signal 1, and the sum of the two signals is obtained to generate a new control signal 5. At a high pass filter 13, a cutoff frequency is switched based on the control signal 5.
