PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of the impossibility of a driving operation caused by its instability due to a position error by eccentricity caused by the influence of disk shifting when a magnetic disk having a servo pattern written therein is mounted on the casing of a drive. SOLUTION: The eccentricity of a drive is measured while a head position is controlled, a data track having no position error caused by the eccentricity is generated, a relative difference is set between a servo track and the data track, only the phase and the AC component of a repeatable runout are obtained by using the model of an actuator which enables data reading/writing, and the value of the repeatable runout is obtained from the model error of the actuator.
