PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect an epoxy coating paint applied on an inner wall face of a pressure suppression chamber in a boiling water reactor, in an underwater condition, by a remote operation. SOLUTION: A travel carriage 1 moves freely on the inner wall face of the pressure suppression chamber by a crawler 2 with a magnet for attraction travel. A clad recovery nozzle, a clad removing brush 4, an acryl camera 5, and a film thickness/plate thickness inspection unit 6 are mounted to conduct remote visual inspection for a coating film face using them, and a position of an inspection portion is found by an ultrasonic sonar 7. When finding a defective portion in the coating film by the inspection, an emergency measure is possible by a coating film repairing device 17. In addition, an image provided by the camera 5 is able to be read in into a personal computer to conduct image processing such as dimension measurement, counting or the like of blisters observed in the coating film.
