PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminance measuring instrument which is capable of accurately measuring the illuminance distribution over the entire space. SOLUTION: This illuminance measuring instrument 10 is provided with a photoreceiving part 11, a driving part 12 and a control part 13. The driving part 12 is provided with a pedestal 15, the first rotary stage 16 bent L-shapedly and the second rotary stage 17. The first rotating device (the first driving means) 18 for rotating the first rotary stage 16 around a vertical shaft A of the pedestal 15 is formed between the pedestal 15 and the first rotary stage 16. The second rotating device (the second driving means) 19 for rotating the second rotary stage 17 around a horizontal shaft B of the first rotary stage 16 is formed between the first rotary stage 16 and the second rotary stage 17.
