PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away tip formed of and connected with polycrystalline diamond or the like for prevention of stripping and especially optimization of very deep cutting, and also to provide a cutting tool composed of this throw-away tip. SOLUTION: This throw-away tip is formed by coating with polycrystalline diamond, at least the cutting edge other than a tip section at the corner of a rake face of a base material.
