A pneumatic tyre (11) comprises a sensor device (3) located in a crown portion thereof. The sensor device (3) includes an inertial switch (34) adapted for switching from a first state to a second state when said crown portion begins contact with a ground surface, and from said second state to said first state when said crown portion looses contact with said ground surface. A detecting device (36) operatively coupled to said inertial switch (34) determines at least one of said dynamic parameters based on the switching of the inertial switch (34). A monitored dynamic parameter may be, for example, the number of tyre revolutions.
