<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herb-containing milk quality improver for animals comprising a substance improving milk quality of animals so as to inhibit increase of, in particular, the number of somatic cells in the milk. <P>SOLUTION: This herb-containing milk quality improver for animals, and a preventive or a therapeutic agent for mammitis of animals each contains a herb as an active ingredient. An animal feed is obtained by addition of the milk quality improver for animals.
